The Indians acquired Russ Canzler from the Rays, and Wahoo’s on First likes the deal. What bothers me, however, is why the Rays would let a good, cheap first baseman go so they could sign Carlos Pena. Wahoo’s projection put Canzler at about Pena’s 2012 numbers. I have to believe the Rays think Russ won’t live up to those numbers in the majors.
