The Cardinals completed a deal with Yadier Molina for five years, $75 million.  There is also a mutual option for a sixth season.   I think the Cardinals are over paying a tad, given the shortness of catching careers.  Yadier’s brothers, however, proved very durable, so maybe St. Louis will get their money’s worth.  Also after letting a fan favorite in Albert Pujols go, they needed to keep another one in the fold.
