Garza the Great

Matt Garza and Zack Greinke go in opposite directions Thrusday afternoon as the Cubs defeat the Brewers 8-0. Garza improved on his first start, falling one out short of a shutout. He struck out nine and walked just two, holding the Brewers to three hits. Greinke gave up six runs in the third and two more in the fourth. His control was good as he K’d five with one walk, but nine of the 14 balls in play against him fell for hits.

Steve Clevenger made his second start after going 3 for 5 in his first three games, and goes three for four on the afternoon with two doubles.
