Your Miley May Vary

Wade Miley pitched a gem in his first start of 2012 as the Diamondbacks defeated the Phillies 9-5. Miley walked one and struck out seven in six innings, holding Philadelphia scoreless. Coming into the game, Wade walked 22 and struck out 27 in his brief career, so it was nice to see him find his control.

The Phillies tried a comeback in the ninth, scoring five runs, but it was too little too late.

Justin Upton hit his first home run of the season, and with a 2 for 3 night his thumb might be healing.
