Gavin Floyd pitched another great game against Boston, not allowing a hit until the top of the seventh as Chicago wins 4-1. In his 6 2/3 innings of work, Floyd walked one and struck out nine, running his record against the Red Sox to 7-0. It’s the fifth time in eight starts Gavin held the Red Sox to just one run.
Adam Dunn homered, and his slash line stands at .231/.368/.513. That’s a much more Dunn-like line. It’s still early, but the off-season training seems to have done the job.
