Johnson Beats Wang

The Marlins complete a sweep of the Nationals with a 5-3 win Wednesday night. Miami finishes their May schedule with 21 wins, the most wins ever for the franchise in a month. The Marlins found plenty of holes against Chien-Ming Wang, collecting seven hits in four innings and scoring four runs. Giancarlo Stanton provided some late insurance with his 13th home run of the season.

Josh Johnson walked one and struck out five, holding the the Nationals to three runs in six innings for a quality start. Miami cuts the Nationals lead in the NL East to 1/2 game. Washington is up a game in the AFILC.

Brothers Jhonatan Solano of Washington and Donovan Solano of Miami, each recently called up, played in the same game MLB game for the first time. Their mother was in the stands wearing a Nationals jersey and a Marlins cap. 🙂
