Extra! Extra!

The Marlins and Red Sox slugged the ball all over Fenway Tuesday night. The teams collected ten hits each, but the Reds Sox win 7-5 as they hit twice as many extra base hits, eight total to the Marlins four. Boston record five doubles and three home runs, eight different hitters getting those hits.

Boston now owns 167 doubles in 67 games. That puts them on a pace for 404 doubles on the season. The record is 373, accomplished three times, twice by Red Sox teams.
