Rough Start to New Rotation

Alex White threw his 75 pitches for the Rockies Wednesday night, but he only lasted 3 2/3 innings as the Phillies scored five runs off him. The bullpen performed well, holding the Phillies scoreless for a while, allowing the Rockies to come back and take a 6-5 lead in the ninth. Unfortunately, Rafael Betancourt fell apart with two out in the ninth as the Phillies scored two runs for the 7-6 win. If this version of the four man rotation is going to work, the starters need to give Colorado five decent innings.

Jeremy Guthrie pitched the best of anyone on the staff last night, throwing three no-hit innings. Maybe he should be a starter when the team is not in Colorado.
