Cy McDonald

James McDonald keeps looking like a Cy Young Award candidate as he walks none and strikes out ten in seven innings against the Giants on Saturday. Pittsburgh wins another low-scoring, close game 3-1. With one run allowed, McDonald lowers his ERA to 2.37. He’s now walked 31 and struck out 100 on the season with just seven home runs in 110 innings. He’s currently third in ERA, and his excellent three true outcome rates should make garner him some votes.

The Giants lost six of their last eight games since their four straight shutout wins.
