Two Homers Instead of a Triple

Miguel Cabrera knocks out four hits, hitting two home runs a double and a single, a night he’s probably happy to miss hitting for the cycle. He drove in three runs to bring his season total to 81, and raises his league leading batting average to .377. Chris Davis went 0 for 3 in the Orioles win over the Yankees, so Cabrera gained in the home run race. Miguel now trails Davis by four in the long ball contest as Miguel goes for his second consecutive triple crown.

The Tigers beat the Rays 6-3.
