Renteria was hitting .359 in that situation coming into the game, and delivered a single to beat the DBacks. Cardinals now trail AZ by 1-game for home field, and a win tomorrow gives them the tie-breaker. It also keeps the Giant's hopes alive of actually winning the west. This is turning out to be a much more interesting end of the season than I thought it would be. You never know.
