Bradley Blast

Not surprisingly, the player I highlight as the poster child for the Dodger's poor offense hits a 420 ft. HR. Milton Bradley went deep against Ben Sheets, and the Dodgers are now only down 2-1. Sheets is pitching a great game, with 8 K and no walks through seven innings. He's at 109 pitches; we'll see how many he's allowed to throw today.

Update: Kieschnick is on in the 8th. Another great start by Sheets.

The Brewers are 3 games over .500 and it's almost June. I love it. The organization finally has a sound plan and things are looking good for Milwaukee baseball fans. If they keep this up, we should see some big crowds at Miller Park once school lets out and the weather heats up.

jobu, why must you torment me, i bring you rum and cigars, and yet you no come and help bats. you only help bradley today, when i know greenie needs the help more.

please jobu, come and heal the bats of the blue crew, i cannot take the evil spirits of padres atop the NL West, it is truly a sign on the apocolypse

if you no come and help bats, then i say f@*& you jobu

ok seriously, weaver is really the tough luck pitcher this year, matches sheets through the game, and still gets tagged with the loss, through 2 unearned runs. he has the stuff, he better, i am sticking with him on my fantasy team, but he needs the offense to pickup where it was in april. come'om guys, its only may, but please, start tearing the cover off the ball

That Richie Sexson deal's looking pretty good these days, eh? If I were the Brewers I'd trade Ben Sheets near the All-Star break to a pitching desperate ballclub and mug their farm system...betting they can get a few top minor leaguers (to stockpile their already deep system) and cash. They aren't going to contend this year, but with the Astros aging and the other teams flawed as well, the Brewers could be very good in a few seasons.
