The Power of Troy

Troy Glaus has two more extra-base hits tonight to move ahead of Derrek Lee into the NL lead with 26. He's driven in two and scored two to help the Diamondbacks to a 7-4 lead over the Astros.

re: Troy Glaus, All Star

My daughter and I were filling out all star ballots after going to the park last week, and we realized that with Rolen out and having a subpar year, Troy Glaus is the obvious candidate for All Star Game at 3B this year in the NL.

He's definitely a candidate for comeback player of the year.

Arizone enjoyed some success with this strategy about ten years ago when they obtained Matt Williams and he resuscitated his career briefly with them. Arizona seems to be a place where power hitting third basemen with a good glove go to be reborn and find their mojo again!
