Won't the new Negro League special balloting for the Hall of Fame result in a much larger number of new Hall admittees that we're used to in the past?
There are two significant changes from traditional Hall of Fame elections. First, the voters are allowed to vote for more than 10 candidates for the Hall. Instead, they vote yes/no on each candidate.
Section, the voters are people with actual expertise in the history of the Negro Leagues. This hasn't been true of the voters for the regular Hall of Fame - whether the writers, the current Hall of Famers, or the old Veterans Committee.
