Timlin In

Mike Timlin starts the fourth inning for the United States. With Peavy throwing just 23 pitches, I believe he'll be able to pitch again in the round-robin if the US needs him. Maybe he'll relieve Clemens in game 3.

Update: Timlin gets the side in order.

The local San Diego sports radio station interviewed Peavy this morning and they brought up the possibility of this (early exit) happening. Peavy said he would want to stay in the game until he got his full number of pitches in, but if not, he thought he'd need to go to the bullpen after being removed from the game to get enough work in.
