Ivy Chat has an Arte Johnson moment reading stock tips. It seems the fifth biggest investor in the Tribune Corporation thinks the company should sell the Cubs and Food Network. Can you imagine the Cubs with an owner that really cared about winning?

Baseball Musings is conducting a pledge drive in March. Click here for details.

I think you're right in that they don't "care" about whether they win or lose, but they do give Hendry and company the means to win. a $95 million payroll as of right now is plenty to field a winner.

$95 million with 2 rookies, no current starting 2B, and a .200 hitter against lefties starting in RF...

As much as i hate the tribune company for its raping of Cub fans (scalping their own tickets for crying out loud!) its not their fault the Cubs can't put a winner out there.
