Kaz Ks

Scott Kazmir synced up with his mojo today as he's shutting down an Arizona offense in full free retreat. He's struck out 8 through six innings while allowing just one hit and one walk. Edgar Gonzalez was also pitching well, but just gave up a home run to Huff to give Tampa Bay a 3-0 lead. Not that things are looking good for the Diamondbacks, but going into Tampa Bay and getting shutdown by that team makes one wonder about the viability of Arizona as a playoff contender.

Yes, Kazmir's been okay this year, but man, Victor Zambrano has really been the solution for the Mets...um....wait...

Yeah, if only the Mets had Kazmir they'd be like, nine or ten games up in first place . . . um . . . wait.

Actually, the Kazmir thing still stings. They'd be in much better shape for the post-season with that extra arm. But, the ship has sailed, so what are you gonna do?

Mediocre to bad AL teams are better than playoff calibur NL teams, evidently.

So does Oakland's inability to score in Colorado mean that, conversely, mediocre NL teams are better than playoff-caliber AL teams?
