Detroit Breaks Through

Verlander and Sabathia battled each other scoreless through five innings, but the Tigers break through with a walk and three hits to start the sixth inning. A double play plates a third run, but keeps the game close as the Tigers take a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth. Verlander's struck out six with no walks through five innings.
