MetsBlog rounds up information on Orlando Hernandez's injury:
The Mets have told reporters that Orlando Hernandez has been sent to New York so doctors can examine a recent pain in his neck.
He must have a teenager at home (rim shot).
Of course, this is the big worry going into the Mets season. How healthy is this rotation when you're depending on two 40 year olds? How good can the starters be if you're depending on Park and Perez to relive the brief glory of their careers? It's a good thing the Mets offense should score a lot of runs, they'll need them.

El Duque has proven he can be an ace caliber postseason pitcher. He's also proven he's old and injury prone. Mets can't count on him as #1 or #2 pitcher, so need to into Sept with two other ace quality pitchers ahead of him. If it works out, then how would you like to be another team facing a healthy El Duque in game 3? The Mets shouldn't need more than 100 regular season innings from El Duque, so they'll have every shot at having him ready for the stretch run.
I hate to say it, but with two 40 year olds as your starters, you won't win the Big One.
gzino - If they don't get 100 IP from El Duque, who are they going to use to make 162 starts?
