Stadium Corruption

Another reason not to have government fund and run ballparks. Corruption.

It's pathetic what passes for government here in Maryland. The whole state is corrupt / incompetant. Everyone's worried about keeping their jobs instead of doing what's best for the state. It's embarassing.

Good point. If we out-sourced ball park construction to Halliburton or KBR, everything would be on the up and up.

As long as it wasn't government funded, then Haliburton would pay stricter attention to the bottom line.

I agree with Dave, governments should not be in the business of building stadiums. Unfortunately, I don't think the voters share this idea - weren't the Maryland stadiums approved by referendum?? By the way, misspelling "incompetent" diminishes one's accusation of incompetence - :)
