Shutting Down the Cardinals

David Sussman writes that Chris Capuao left the game against the Cardinals with a calf injury. It doesn't seem to matter much who is pitching against St. Louis in this series as Carlos Villanueva came in and also threw three shutout innings against the Red Birds. The Brewers lead 4-0 in the bottom of the sixth.

David made that up. He pulled a muscle in his right leg.

Is it just me, or are there lots more pitchers going down with injuries this year.

Regardless this is becoming a problem for the Cards. I'd like to say it was the John Hancock death but seriously they're getting pounded. And well me being a cards fan this is a problem.

Capuano was hit by a ground ball in the second- I think that had something to do with him having to come out early.

Right now the cardinals just look pathetic. Skip Schumaker made the last out tonight by bunting back to the pitcher...

I hate to say it, but I'm really start to wonder if the Cardinals have a drug problem. Some marijuana was found in Hancock's wrecked car. (And if you'll remember, some was found in Kile's hotel room).

That would explain their rather lethargic play much of the time.
