Capping the Nats
Chris Capuano kept his record perfect tonight with eight shutout innings versus the Washington Nationals. His control was nearly perfect, striking out nine and walking none. For some reason, Yost needed to bring in Cordero (Chris threw 98 pitches) to finish the game and pick up his league leading 13th save. The perfect night lower Cordero's BA allowed to .045.
With the Cubs idle, Milwaukee opens up a 5 1/2 game lead in the NL Central. They've won 13 of 16 to establish the best record in baseball.
Update: Capuano gave up two singles to start the ninth, that's why they went to Cordero. An actual tough save for Francisco!
