Stopping at Second

The Texas Rangers knocked out seven doubles tonight, yet only scored two runs as they lose to the Yankees by six runs. In the last 50 years, that's only happened twice. On 6/2/1988, the Phillies scored two with seven doubles, but they played fourteen innings. The Expos, however, on 10/3/2001 hit seven doubles winning the nine inning game 2-0.

Correction: Montreal won that game 2-0.

Actually, Montreal won that game 2-0. The most doubles in a game without scoring a run is 5, which has been done a few times.
