Defeating Santana

Johan Santana pitched just well enough to lose tonight, allowing two runs in six innings. Mike Maroth allowed nine hits but only one run during his 6 2/3 innings, and the Tigers go on to win the game 7-3. Detroit pound the Minnesota bullpen for seven hits and five runs in three innings of work. It's rare bad outing for the Twins pen as they came into the game with a 3.06 ERA.
