My Eyes! My Eyes!

I just turned on the Padres game, and they're wearing the old yellow and brown uniforms. Maybe the worst color scheme in the history of baseball uniforms. I'm just glad the game is not in HD here.

You're so wrong - they're soooo pretty

Are you forgetting the old Astro uniforms?

The Red Sox' green unis weren't met with much enthusiasm, either. (Though I happened to like them)

There's no accounting for taste. The brown-and-yellows ruled. Not quite as awesome as the Astros' rainbows, but they were pretty darn cool.

Seriously, though, a team's uniform should be distinctive enough to identify them, and a team should have a color that we identify as theirs. For the Padres, that color is brown. That what color the Franciscan friars wore. The Padres are welcome to redesign their uniforms, but if there's no brown, then to me that uniform does not say "Padres." Bring back brown!
