Jered Weaver picked up his second win of the season as the Angels defeated the Rangers 7-2. With an early 4-0 lead, Jered cruised, striking out five in seven innings and only throwing 87 pitches.

The loss drops Texas 6 1/2 games behind LAnaheim with a 15-23 record. They've only been outscored 187-178, so they should be closer to .500. Texas won it's share of blowouts, It's also the 18th time this season they scored three runs or less, and Texas is 2-16 in those games.
