Mets Comeback

I was just out running errands, listening to the end of the Mets game. Down 5-1 in the ninth, New York came back with singles and walks to score five runs and win the game. It was interesting to listen to the commentators strategy vs. what Randolph actually did. With the bases loaded and one out, Dempster walks in a run to bring Gotay to the plate, playing short for Reyes. The announcers expected Wright to pinch hit in this spot, but Randolph left the switch hitter in to face the righty Dempster. Gotay singled to make the score 5-3. Piniella goes to the pen for the lefty Eyre, so Randolph send Wright up to pinch hit for Green Wright singles to bring in the fourth run. That brings up Delgado, who's hit lefties well this season. He singles to drive in two and win the game. Randolph got it just right.
