Unhittable Staff

The San Diego staff continues to shine as Peavy and two relievers combine to shutout the Brewers 3-0 this afternoon. Jake allowed two hits over seven innings, Bell and Hoffman combined to allow one hit in relief. All three pitchers in the game own opposition batting averages below .200. The win gives San Diego 11 victories in their last fifteen games. It's the third time in that time frame they pitched a shutout.
