Cy-Ming Wang?

How can someone who writes about baseball be this far off? Tom Singer lists Chien-Ming Wang third in his Cy Young handicapping. I wonder if this was based on a poll of voters, or just that Wang won a lot of games? We'll know at 2 PM EST.

Update: At ESPN.com, not one of 20 voters listed Wang as a first choice.

Update: Sabathia wins, more to come.

It's been time to clean house for a long time. CMW is a good SP, but not in the top5. At all. I wish people would call these writers out a make them explain themselves.

There was a plausible case for CMW last year. And a lot of sportswriters don't bother to update their mental files. Maybe that's why Singer predicted him? (It was a prediction, remember, not a vote!)
Anyway, either Singer is kind of an idiot or he thinks the voters are idiots, not sure which.

Did you notice the six additional contenders Singer added after his top four? He includes Joe Borowski (5.07 ERA) just ahead of Papelbon. I don't even have a joke to make here.
