Keeps Getting Worse
The state of New York suspended Jim Leyritz's license last month.
New York State suspended the Florida license a month before the crash, but the license is still valid in Florida. However, that may be only a technicality because the New York suspension had not yet been entered in the national registry as of Wednesday.
Leyritz was ticketed outside Albany, N.Y., for using a cell phone while driving June 20, and his license was suspended Nov. 23 for failing to answer the summons, according to motor vehicle records.
I suppose the only way it could get worse for Jim at this point is if we find out he stole the car.

This is just sad for all involved. Sad for the victim and sad for Jim, who obviously has some issues to deal with and a lot more of them now, and as well for his family. This certainly can't be easy for them to handle. That said, I wonder how much time he is facing. The DA might want to use him as a political statement that he is tough on the rich and celebrities. I don't think much of DA's as they are motivated by politics, but this sort of crime needs to be punished. What is a fair punishment is the question.
It is a personal tragedy for Leyritz and a nigthmare forever for the family of the person who was killed.
How many people did steroids kill this week?
