Sabean Suspension?

There's a possibility Bud Selig might suspend Brian Sabean:

Rep. Henry Waxman, the chairman of the committee, asked Selig whether Sabean should have reported the allegations against Anderson to the commissioner's office.

"Of course," Selig responded.

Will Sabean be punished?

"That's all I want to say because this is under review," Selig said. "You've raised a very valid point. It's of great concern to me. Why anybody is in the clubhouse besides the official team trainer is beyond me."

you mean he's not being suspended for putting that atrocious team on the field next season? ;)

Good one and so true. What a joke. Selig's trying to "solidify" his legacy, reinventing history and his blind-eye to "all" of this crap. Absolutely absurd!

Where the crap is there any room for irony or even good faith any more? Once, a ref to Claude Raines required a wink. Now it's just news. I'm shocked, shocked.

Is MLB trying to follow the NFL model? Acting like you are taking care of the problem while in reality ignoring it? Could you imagine being trapped in a room with Bud Selig and Henry Waxman? What if there was a gun with only one bullet? Who would you shoot? Most likely yourself....
