Fame Game Slain
The Hall of Fame Game disappears from the schedule after 2008:
Hall of Fame officials say Major League Baseball decided keeping the game was too difficult because of the complexities of the major league schedule and "all its inherent challenges."
That's sad. However, one of my colleagues organizes a whiffle ball game at the Hall every year, and you can still see that. It also might be nice to play a minor league all-star game there every year.
