Crede Rumors
Mark Gonzales suggests the White Sox might trade Crede to the Giants for Noah Lowry:
Giants general manager Brian Sabean, who desperately needs a middle-of-the-order hitter of Crede's caliber (with Bengie Molina as the Giants' current cleanup hitter), told reporters Friday his team currently has pitching depth.
I thought most of the Giants hitters were of Crede's caliber.

To listen to a lot of Sox fans you'd think Crede was the 2nd coming of Mike Schmidt.
Meanwhile his career line is 259/.305/.446 for a.751 ops
Not even in the NL is that a credible middle of the order hitter.
Frankly, even with his glove -- and with his bad back who knows how he can field now -- those numbers are not enough for a corner infield position.
If I were the white sox I made that trade now!
I'm a big white sox fan, and as much as I dont want to see crede traded but good young players is really the way to go in any situation. Now the real question is why would the giants make this deal? Why not try to pry away younger talent if you have high value pitching commodities to give away?
They already had a hitter of Joe Crede's caliber--Pedro Feliz.
If CWS can get that on the table they better close it before Sabean sobers up.
The problem is, Noah Lowrey is neither good nor really that young anymore. he's a much poorer version of Mark Buerhle.
So this is kinda like trading a vastly overrated 3B for a vastly overrated SP....
Interest in Crede comes from his ridiculous post season a couple years ago, looks like a typical Giants move to me.
