Marcum Man
Shaun Marcum continues to make a bid for ace of the Toronto staff. He picks up the tenth quality start for Toronto in the last eleven games, lasting into the ninth before allowing two runs. He lowers his ERA to 2.59 which remains the best among Toronto starters.
Scott Rolen homered and is now slugging .564 in his short time with the Blue Jays.

Rolen now has more HR than Glaus.
Also, Carlos Pena has a -44 OPS+ against Toronto this year with 15K in 19 AB. 45% of his strikeouts this year have come by the hands of Blue Jays pitching.
I just noticed that barring injury, Cliff Lee and Shawn Marcum will meet up on Monday. That's going to be one heck of a game.
Was it here where I read about Marcum having
minor knee surgery at the end of last year?
His production fell off badly late last year.
And, this spring, I was wondering if hitters
were starting to figure him out last year.
But, it sure doesn't look that way now.
Lee/Marcum should be an awesome game.
But, Toronto losing both Wells and McDonald,
when he was in the field, isn't going to help
the pitchers. I didn't look to see who steps
in CF for Wells.
