Paramour Problems
It's not a great year for significant others associated with the Padres:
San Diego Padres outfielder Brian Giles is being sued by his former girlfriend for more than $10 million, alleging he battered her while she was pregnant and caused her to suffer a miscarriage.
That's more than Giles's 2009 salary.
A little unclear about your last sentence? What's your point? If it's true then there's no amount of money that's going to make a difference and hopefully he'll face criminal charges as well and spend the rest of his life in prison.
