Richard makes his third start for the Jays this season, owning a 3.38 ERA despite walking six and striking out just five in eight innings.

On the west coast, Frankie Montas takes on Griffin Canning as the Athletics visit the Angles. Montas is one of the outstanding three-true outcome pitchers of the year, with 66 K, 18 BB, and just four home runs in 64 innings. Canning is with him on the strikeouts and walks, but allowed six home runs in just 32 1/3 innings.
