Games of the Day

The East Coast gets to watch the Dodgers in the afternoon as Kenta Maeda takes on the Diamondbacks and Jon Duplantier. Maeda had trouble on the road this season. He posted a 5.64 ERA away versus a 1.69 ERA at home. Duplantier has not allowed a home run in his first 17 MLB innings.

The Rays send Charlie Morton against the Tigers and Spencer Turnbull. Morton stands 6-0 in twelve starts with 83 K in just 67 1/3 innings. Turnbull is a bright spot in the Tigers rotation, coming into the game with a 2.84 ERA. He limited power, with an opposition slash line of .237/.318/.364.

Finally, John Means battles Mike Minor as the Orioles visit the Rangers. Means 5-4 record is not justified by his 2.80 ERA. He only walked 15 batters in 54 2/3 innings. Minor is also 5-4 with an even lower 2.74 ERA. The Rangers scored just two runs in each of his last two starts.

Enjoy!
