High Run Tuesday

With a full schedule Tuesday night, Major League Games averaged 12.13 runs per game, the third highest average of any day this season with at least 10 games played. The Marlins scored 16 runs in a shutout against the Brewers. The Orioles beat the Rangers 12-11 as Pedro Severino hit three home runs in the game, and the Rangers scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to make it close. Philadelphia beat San Diego 9-6 as Jay Bruce hit two home runs and doubled, giving the Phillies hope in the wake of the Andrew McCutchen injury. Franmil Reyes hit two home runs for the Padres to bring his total to 19.

The Dodgers beat the Diamondbacks 9-0, as Hyun-Jin Ryu continued his dominance, just to show there are still some players who can pitch. He’s at the top of the Tom Tango Cy Young points leader board.
