The Astros try to gain another game on the Rangers as Hunter Brown takes on Nathan Eovaldi. After his initial great April in which he did not allow a home run in 30 1/3 innings, Brown allowed nine home runs in his last 56 2/3 innings. Eovaldi saw the ball leave the park more in June as well. He gave up five homers in the month after giving up a total of three in April and May.

Miami sends Baseball Musings Pitcher of the Month Eury Perez against the Braves and Charlie Morton. The rookie Perez struck out 54 batters in his first 47 innings, with 31 hits allowed. Morton allowed eight of his nine home runs in Atlanta.
