Best Batter Today

Thursday’s games brought a slight change to the Baseball Musings Batter Rankings. Juan Soto remains on top as the Padres did not play. Ronald Acuna Jr.of the Braves went one for three with a hit by pitch for second place. His teammate, Matt Olson, posted a one for four with his 54th home run and sits fifth. The Braves beat the Cubs 5-3.

Yordan Alvarez of the idle Astros moves into third place as Aaron Judge of the Yankees drew a walk in a 6-0 Blue Jays win. Judge drops to fourth place.

Elehuris Montero of the Rockies posted the best game score of the day, a 76. He went three for four with double, home run, and walk in a 14-5 win over the Dodgers. It’s the career game so far for Montero, who owns a career .285 OBP and a .423 slugging percentage.
