The Nationals picked up Joey Gallo on a one-year, $5 million deal. So the Nationals will be happy if he produces half a WAR, which he basically did in each of the last two seasons. If somehow the Nats can right Gallo even to two WAR in a season, it will have worked out well for them.

I would love to see Gallo choke up on the bat. He has a good eye for the strike zone, and he’s so strong that he’ll do a lot of damage just making contact.
