The Pirates acquired Isiah Kiner-Falefa from the Blue Jays:

The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired superutilityman Isiah Kiner-Falefa from the Toronto Blue Jays, the team announced Tuesday.

The Blue Jays are receiving minor league infielder/outfielder Charles McAdoo in the trade.

IKF is having one of his best seasons at the plate. There are a number of positions where he could improve the Pirates offense, and I suspect he will move around a lot so the Pirates can use the other players when matchups favor their strengths.

McAdoo looks like a pretty good prospect, as he’s shown the ability to get on base with some pop in the minors.

This is a good trade for the fan base as well. The Pirates are close enough to the wild card that going for it rather than standing pat or selling off might bring out more fans.
