The Tigers use an opener and a bullpen game to shutout the Guardians 3-0 to take a 2-1 lead in their ALDS. Brant Hurter pitched the most and got the win, going 3 1/3 innings in which he allowed five hits and a walk, but kept the Guardians from scoring. The rest of the pitchers allowed just one hit and one walk.

The Guardians went 0 for 8 with runners in scoring position, the Tigers 2 for 10. This could have been a much higher scoring game.
