Anna McDonald covered “The Future of Sports” panel at Washington University in St. Louis for the Hardball Times. The baseball panel featured an all-star cast of Bob Costas, Bill James, Joe Posnanski and Gerald Early. I like this from Bill:

“People talk about baseball shrinking in relation to other sports,” James said. “Well, yes it has, but not because baseball is shrinking, but because the other sports are growing.”
