The Dodgers beat the Padres 1-0 at Dodger Stadium Sunday afternoon. That represents the fourth 1-0 game the Dodgers hosted this season. That ties them with the Reds for most 1-0 games at home this season.

There have now been 39 1-0 games in the majors this season in 1423 games (not counting the Yankees at the Orioles Sunday night). That’s 2.74% of games played, which is the highest percentage in the 30 team expansion era. Most of the years surrounding it are from the 1960s and 1970s. Just another example of how offense is down this season.

That said, there were some high scoring games on Sunday. Six teams scored in double digits, two games producing 10-7 scores. For today at least, the 1-0 game was unusual.
