Stroman Throwman

Marcus Stroman continued his fine rookie season with seven shutout innings against the Rangers as the Blue Jays win 4-1. Stroman came into the game with excellent strikeout and walk numbers, and his home run rate is reasonable for his home park in Toronto. His 4.05 ERA was mostly due to a high BA allowed with runners in scoring position. Stroman walked none and struck out five, and did not give up a hit with runners in scoring position today. That performance lowered his ERA to 3.58, and he looks like a nice addition to the Blue Jays rotation.
