You never know which game might be James Shields last with the Royals. He pitches against the White Sox and Jose Quintana Wednesday afternoon. Shields gets hit hard on the road, allowing 12 of his 16 homers away from Kansas City. Quintana’s been pounded by the Royals for nine runs in 13 innings, good for a 6.08 ERA.

The Reds send Mike Leake to the mound to try to stop the Reds five game losing streak and stay close to their opponent, Milwaukee. Kyle Lohse stands in opposition. After not allowing a home run in six May starts, Leake allowed eight dingers since June 1st. Lohse pitches great at home this season, with a 2.43 ERA and just four walks in 59 1/3 innings.
