The Brewers add some insurance in the outfield as they trade for Gerardo Parra. The Diamondbacks get Mitch Haniger and Anthony Banda. Haniger is 23 and hit a wall once he left low A ball. Banda is a young pitcher, but walks a ton of batters. It looks to me like the Diamondbacks didn’t want to give Parra an arbitration raise. His production decline as he entered his peak years and never recovered. I would not be surprised to find out Parra is older than we think.
