The Rangers and Mariners offer a nice afternoon pitching duel as Derek Holland takes on Felix Hernandez. Holland gave a Rangers rotation a huge boost when he came off the disable list. He walked three and struck out 25 in 30 1/3 innings so far. Hernandez owns a 5.31 ERA since the All-Star break. He allowed ten home runs in 117 1/3 innings pre-break, nine home runs in 57 2/3 innings since.

The Blue Jays come to New York for a four-game series could help decide the AL East title. David Price faces rookie Luis Severino. Price did for the Jays what Holland did for the Rangers, boosted the rotation. He’s 5-1 with a 2.15 ERA since turning Blue. After giving up 13 home runs in 146 innings for the Tigers, he only allowed three HR in 50 1/3 innings for the Jays. Serverino’s strength so far is his strikeout rate, 34 K in 35 1/3 innings. He allowed four home runs, but three came with the bases empty.
