The Orioles hit six home runs on Sunday as they pounded the Athletics 11-3. It was the third time this season a team hit six home runs in a game, as the Os join the Mets and Cardinals in accomplishing the feat. The Orioles also join the Cardinals as the only team with two games with at least five home runs.
Mark Trumbo hit his ninth home run and missed the cycle by a double. Manny Machado hit two home runs to bring his season total to nine. Those two and Chris Davis (eight homers on the season) combined for 26 of the team’s 43 home runs.
